Dear Engineer,
You are hereby invited to participate in a research project. The aim of this research will be to investigate the relationship between career adaptability, grit, and positive coping in predicting employee retention to understand if a retention framework can be developed to direct retention management practices for the hybrid engineering environment in South Africa. Additionally, the study will also investigate whether biographical variables (age, gender, race, educational level and job title) have a moderating effect on the relationship between career adaptability, grit, and positive coping and how biographical variables influence employee retention.
Participation in this survey is on a purely voluntary, anonymous basis and you are more than welcome to withdraw from the study, at any point in the process, without offering an explanation. By completing this research questionnaire, it will be accepted that you give full consent to the researcher that your responses may be used for research purposes only and that your responses will be treated in an anonymous and confidential manner. The research questionnaire contains 5 questionnaires that need to be completed. Please answer all the questions in all the questionnaires.
Your responses will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and be used solely for research purposes. The results will be used for research purposes and may be included in a scientific journal. The research findings will be available upon request from Samantha Samuel (samantha@mweb.co.za).
We truly appreciate your willingness to participate in this important research and your valuable time needed to complete the research questionnaire.
Thanking you in advance.
Kind regards,
Samantha Samuel
